The compressor works with a refrigerant or working fluid to facilitate the process of compressing the gas.
The condenser coil involves a fan that cools down the high-pressure gas passed from the compressor. The gas is later converted into a liquid before being taken to the evaporator. Compressors and condensers are often located outside your home, and you can readily see them.
The evaporator is located indoors, and it is found near the furnace. It connects to the condenser with a thin pipe that conveys the high pressure, condensed gas to this component. With the decreasing pressure, the evaporator turns the liquid into a gas once more, allowing the refrigerant to lower the heat from the air and cool it. Then, the compressor moves back to the compressor to get compressed again, creating a cyclic pattern throughout the cooling process.
AIR HANDLER AND BLOWING UNIT
These two AC components work together to facilitate airflow from the unit to the room. The air handler draws cool air from the evaporator, and the blower disseminates it all over the house. The entire process is aided by a duct system that allows air passage to different rooms in your home.
The thermostat can either be manual or automatic, enabling you to regulate your home’s temperature. Generally, it is an air conditioning component that lets you control heat energy flowing indoors and outdoors. Besides, thermostats come in different shapes, designs, and models depending on specific features.
